Final Schedule for the Last Two Weeks

Aaah! Only 14 days left.

My terra sigillata tests from the soda firing really pushed me in pursuing these surfaces because I’m finally finding that flashing surface I’ve been craving. Going into this full pottery surface mindset made me question the worth of the t-sig slug. So I implemented those into my tests as well because some of them seemed to be just really thick slips.

With the classes wrapping up there wet ware cut off, I could start encroaching onto the main studio. I also started to play around with place setting set ups. I was really trying to push a wide range of forms to get more information of surface reactions. I also kinda over-committed to the amount of times I was going to fire the soda kiln in a matter of two weeks. Thankfully I somehow kept to the schedule and was producing the work at a steady rate. I wrapped up this week with a good chunk of my work ready for the first soda firing.
