Having Some Fun

With February around the corner, the Lunar New Year is heavy on my mind. It’s the year of the dragon—a very auspicious year. So, I thought I would try to capture some of that for myself by sculpting some dragons. This was a fun avenue that I took this week and I want to continue it. I’m thinking maybe a series of 12 teapots for the Lunar calendar. Just a passing thought. I also finally got around to mixing up some new clay tests and I am just letting them rest before testing soon. I also unloaded the studio soda glaze kiln and the results were quite promising. There is some clean up to do and we did lose some pots due to a wad, but overall, its great. Lastly, RIP Custer. Sunday was filled with the tedious and laborious task of drying out clay. Fingers crossed on G200 working out.
