Unload, Sale, Install, NCECA…Full Throttle for Two Weeks

Wood Fire Study

The week started off with a great surface and throwing demo by Stephanie Galli. She went into great detail about how she was able to produce her beautiful color gradients. Her secret…a makeup airbrush and lots and lots of time. Afterwards, we unloaded the wood kiln which was a mixture of successes and lessons learned. I’m excited by the results and am looking forward to the next firing. We finished the week off with a fundraiser sale. Over the weekend I drove up with some other post-baccs to help them out with install.

NCECA

This was a jam-packed 5 day whirlwind that I am still trying to process. Met a lot of great people, saw some amazing art, and celebrated my fellow post-baccs Molly Otremba (Student Juried Show Award Winner), Max Trumpower (Distribu-Queery Show Participant), and Car Riegger (#CripClay Show Organizer and Participant, #CripClay panel member). Woohoo!!

This was a busy week but it was fantastic nonetheless. Many ideas rushing—excited to get back to the studio and make!
