Well Rested for the Final Dash

December is just around the corner!

This week had a whirlwind start with the realization that our next Dirtbag sale was coming up this weekend. Thankfully we had enough inventory to do it, with only a couple supplements from the individual artists. Unfortunately, our grant fell through, so we are now solely responsible for paying our way to NCECA. This has lit a new fire under us to really make these sales count. Fingers crossed! On a positive note, we were able to reserve housing at a cheaper rate than we initially expected.

Beyond Dirtbags matters, I spent most of this week packing more pots for shows and finally getting around to doing a mass documentation. You can find a compact pdf version of my current 2023 portfolio at the following link, Preliminary Portfolio. I’m relieved to have finally done this. This process has prepared me to enter application season. Looking to put in 10-12 application across a vast selection of schools.

I’m finally getting that itch to get back into the studio. I think I’m going to kick off this new making cycle with some empty bowls to brush up on my throwing skills.

Lastly, the images to the right document a little collab between Lilly and I. Some teapot ornaments.
