Set-Backs Are Hard, But They Make Great Learning Moments

I lost my big project due to a silly mistake…not because of thin walls. However, after much review, I will start to build thicker as I go bigger (to the joy of many peers). This was a massive set back, but it opened up the opportunity for me to do a small scale test. Through this, I have found many errors that I need to address before reattempting at a larger scale. Even though it was a sad moment, I learned a lot.

Another mishap occurred on Wednesday when the wood splitter started to malfunction. Someway somehow gas ended up in the oil compartment of the gas and it wreaked havoc. Not starting, spilling gas everywhere, not being able to split wood, etc. So…no split wood this week. The splitter was sent off to be fixed. Fingers crossed it’s only the carburetor and nothing to do with the pistons.

Overall, this past week was hard, but boy…was it fun.
